Ok so, I kind of get bored with pork chops at times… So, I wanted to try something different seeing as my husband loves honey mustard, and pork- why not experiment and combine them together?! Right? Right? OK so here’s how it went…
- 1/4 CUP OF HONEY
- 1 CUP OF YELLOW MUSTARD
- 1 TABLESPOON OF BTTER
- 1 1/2 LBS OF CENTER-CUT BONELESS PORK CHOPS 1/2 -INCH THICK.
- SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE.
- 1/2 CUP COARSELY CHOPPED FLAT LEAF PARSLEY
Combine these ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. Marinate for 2-3 hours or more if you desire.
NEXT STEP: After you have marinated your chops, heat a large skillet with extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat and lay pork chops into the skillet. Cook until brown for 3 minutes then flip over to cook for another 3 minutes. BRUSH Chops with more honey, and continue cooking, alternating sides until pork chops are cooked thoroughly. REDUCE HEAT.
UMM…Can we say, DELICIOUS!!!!
Now, you have several options at this point…. YOU can pair these chops with rice, mashed potatoes and any kind of vegetable you please. I opted to do the classic mashed potatoes and pair it with my fresh garlic and tomato green beans!
